Why Hello There

I know tomorrow will hit the 3 week mark since I smashed the tar fire out of my finger. I can finally start to use it again for most things. The most important of those things is take pictures. I've ended up taking 3 weeks off from Project 365 which saddens me.I was trying to push through the rut I was in. I was slacking on getting my pictures because I just lost my inspiration, but now I think I have it back. I've signed up to do the World Wide Photo Walk on July 18th. Hopefully I will learn some useful stuff from some of the other photographers there. I've been truely debating on doing the photography thing as a business. I don't feel like I have enough knowledge in the business department, and I know I still have a long ways to go on the photography front. Many people are telling me I should give it a shot, but I think what has me putting the breaks on is the unknown. Not to mention all the work it's going to take, and I just don't know if I have it in me at the moment. We'll see you never know what tomorrow holds.

Tee Hee yea I have to say I know what tomorrow holds I have to go back to the Will Rogers Rose Garden to take pictures. I was there today but the camera had a melt down which in turn made me have a melt down. I was hot and the camera kept giving me an error code. I did everything I could thinnk of at the time to get the thing fixed, but nothing I did would work. I was freaking out because this expensive camera wasn't working. I got home worked on it some more to figure out it was the stupid memory card. Yep it crashed on me. This is the second time this has happened to me since April. (No it was not the same card. The first went in the trash) What gives? At least this time I was able to get what photos there were on it, and do a reformat. Needless to say I will NOT be using that card at the wedding I have coming up on the 14th of June. I can't even begin to explain to you have freaking scared I am that this is going to happen. On top of all of this it's my first big gig in photography, and I really want it to go well.

Oh and I still have to post Project 365 pictures from the 1st week in May. I have that much done at least. Well I have the pictures I don't have them edited for posting. I don't know when I am going to get around to doing that though. I think I might work on some scrapbooking first. I have just one more thing to do and the wedding cards will be done. Five years down the road, and I can't even count the numerous hours at it but it's done. Now I have several other things on my plate to work on. One of them is a special gift for a very very good friend of mine who truly is an amazing person. Hopefully the gift goes over as well as I feel it will. I'm pretty sure it will end up at a picture in Project 365.

Now on to the animals. We finally decided to crate Buddy (The Destroyer). He has eaten more of the carpet so now it really has to come up (as if there was any option before). The massive hole he made on the 7th has now morphed into a gargantuan hole. On top of that hole he made a new one in front of the door that started out the size of a gold ball, and is now the size of a volley ball. That makes 3 holes in the carpet in the living room. Not to mention he has had (and acted upon) thoughts of digging at other carpeted areas of the house. I had hopes he would stop doing this so we didn't have to lock him up again after being free for a few months. We got a new tray for the cage, and you wouldn't even know he's been free from it at all. Buddy and Storm both treat it almost as a dog house in the house. I have to say that even after they tear everything up at the end of the day I still love them, and I wouldn't get rid of them for anything in the world. My dogs make me happy, and so does my kitty cat. Yes they all get along for the most part. The one that doesn't get along is the cat. She's the alpha B**** in our house, and the dogs bow to her. We didn't just name her Princess Leia for no reason.

I suppose this is enough info for one post. I'm off to start on the next scrapping project. Hopefully I will get the 365 done in the next couple of days. Oh and I plan to post an update to the finger post just to show how it's doing after 3 weeks of healing. It's really done better than I thought it would.

The Destroyer

The Hubby and I went out to a movie last to start celebrating his 30th a little early. We had a fantastic time catching the new Star Trek. If you plan to go see it do it was deffinately a great watch. Trust me I even enjoyed it, and I'm not a big Star Trek fan. There are some twists that I wasn't expecting, and it's wonderfully action packed. Though the poor fool who plays Captain Kirk sure did get it in the face a lot.

We had a wonderful night at the movies to come home to this. Wait for it.....

Yep that is a big ASS hole in the carpet. This hole came courtesy of our dog Buddy. Can I say he almost lost his pea picking little life at 2 Am today. I'm at a loss as to how to stop this behavior so it looks like it might be back in the crate for him. We'll see how it goes from here on out. If he shows any more signs of the carpet digging he will be locked away while we are out (again.)
I feel bad because this reaction is pretty much our fault. We went on vacation and left the dogs at home for 4 days alone. The neighbor was coming to let them out and feeding them, but it just wasn't enough apparently. Buddy began acting out his frustrations on the carpet, and so this sordid tale begins. The last couple of weeks he had been getting better about not treating the carpet like it was the yard. We had the previous holes covered up with a rug, and no one was the wiser that they were even there. Now there is no hope for the carpet it's gonna have to come up.

Now I'm crossing my fingers that our slab foundation is not in bad shape. We really can't afford to re carpet and what's the point. I discovered a ton of dirt under the padding and that's just nasty. The idea now is to maybe stain the concrete a color other than the lovely gray it is now, and to seal it with the concrete paint stuff. We are obviously gonna have to do some research on using the slab as flooring to find out what our best option is. I can tell you one thing we WILL NOT be putting carpet back down. Especially not with the cows we have for dogs. I guess this was God's way of telling me I needed to do something about the carpet now and not later. ICK

Crazy Dogs

I had to post this here. I couldn't resist tormenting my poor K9's this evening. I almost couldn't contain myself I found this so funny. Hopefully you do too. Just take a watch, and keep an eye on Storm's tongue. If you notice when I ask her if she wants one she licks. I'm still laughing. I'm just glad I had my cell one me. I really was trying to catch Buddy doing his mean dog growl. He has this thing where he will growl at you with his duck in his mouth. I wasn't successful in that, but this is just as good. Ha Ha another thing to look for is Buddy's baseball bat (tail) swinging 90 to nothin. It's moving so fast it's a blur in the video. :o)

Bean Counter

Woot I have had 100 hits so far. I decided to start tracking how many hits I got on here, and I have to say it's more than I ever thought I would have. This has been an interesting experience so far. I'm really enjoying myself, and it gives me something to have to think about everyday. I know I don't post as often as I would like, but that's because some days I just can't think of anything clever to say. I know this isn't a real clever post either it's really just rambling.
So I guess I can at least talk about what I am going to do for the day. I need to go to Wal-Mart and get some groceries, or maybe find a different grocery store. I never seem to get out of Wal-Mart without giving them an arm and leg. I also have to go to Walgreens and pick up some pictures I had printed off last night. I wanted to get in on the special they were having this month for 50 prints at only 0.10 a pic. I now have gotten the pictures from Disney World '06 printed to start scrapping. Although I should really get the ones done from '05 first, and I really still have some from '02 also that need to be done. Yea I'm a slacker in the scrapping dept. As if you didn't know that already. I mean it has been almost 5 years since my wedding and I still don't have that done, and I'm not even close to being done.

Argggg. The dogs are outside barking right now. I don't even want to go out and look at how messy they are. Our poor yard is just one big mud pit. All of our grass has just gone bye bye. If you know a good landscaper let me know I'm looking into having sod put down to curtail some of the dirt problem. Yes it is a problem. When you have dirt dust all over everything in the house it's a major problem. I can dust and the next day you can't even tell. It's driving me mad I tell you. The bad part is it's not really dust but dirt. When the wind blows it looks like the dust bowl is right outside our backdoor. It's time for something to be done, and I bet my poor neighbors are enjoying my dirt as well. Ha Ha.

Well I guess I had more to say than I thought. Ok I'm off to get ready and head out into the mean world today. Ughh at least the sun is shining, and it's supposed to warm up today. After the week of ice I'm ready to see the grounds back to normal. Not to mention I'm ready for spring to be here. Go Away Winter.

Better

Got my bath last night and it did make me feel better. I took another one this morning. Now we are on the road, and hopefully I'll stay refreshed. I'm still a tad tired because I was up at 6 this morning. Buddy decided it was time for me to get up, and just wouldn't let me sleep. That's the joy of being a pet owner. Have a great Saturday everyone.
